San Jorge Children’s Foundation patients visit the North Pole on Delta Air Lines

In a true celebration of Puerto Rican culture and the Christmas spirit, children treated at the San Jorge Children’s Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico enjoyed a special trip to the North Pole with their families thanks to Delta Air Lines.

The “SJU North Pole” Delta flight provided some holiday cheer to 30 patients from San Jorge Children’s Foundation in addition to participants from the local community and the children of Delta’s team in San Juan.

On the special flight, passengers enjoyed a light meal as they listened to Christmas stories read by Miss Universe Puerto Rico Danna Hernandez. They also met social media celebrity Alex Diaz and boxer Felix “Tito” Trinidad while they made their way to the North Pole. Upon arrival, the children were able to tour the cockpit of the flight and were then greeted with games, arts and crafts, a photo booth and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus where each child received a special gift.

Once the flight returned to San Juan, the North Pole travelers were welcomed back with local music and entertainment.
